Tucked in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley,

Hillsdale is a town where history and community run deep. Wanting their town seal to reflect that spirit, they invited local artists and designers to come together and create a design that feels as timeless as the place itself.

This hand-drawn Hillsdale logo honors the town’s Revolutionary War heritage by referencing the town’s role in General Henry Knox’s 1775–1776 march, when artillery from Fort Ticonderoga passed through on its way to Boston. The central image of the cannon symbolizes this pivotal Revolutionary War feat, while the landscape highlights Hillsdale’s natural beauty and historic significance.
